Remedial Therapists Drysdale

Erin Dodd

Diploma Remedial Massage
Diploma Specialised Bowen Therapy

‘The problem presented is not always the problem’ is one of the few phrases Erin swears by.

“I often have people come to see me with many complaints where the site of their pain is not actually the cause. For example, headaches can stem from tight neck and upper back muscles, but tight neck and upper back muscles can stem from tight chest muscles!”

Getting to the root cause of any complaint, using her knowledge of anatomy, trigger point referral patterns, muscle firing patterns and body balance is how Erin gets results for her clients.

Erin has a Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy and a Diploma in Specialised Bowen Therapy

“I also believe that emotional state plays a big role in the physical wellbeing of the body, which is one of the reasons I became a Bowen Therapist. As well as the physical benefits of Bowen, I truly believe that this therapy helps alleviate stress and anxiety and help the whole body and mind to heal together.” Bowen is also a much gentler therapy for those who may not like the pressure of massage.

About Erin

Erin and her tribe have lived in Drysdale for over a decade attending and being involved in local kindergartens, school and sporting clubs.

Erin has been an enthusiastic parent, assistant coach, players and trainer of the Drysdale Hawks Football Club. Hanging up the boots last season as captain of the senior women’s team, her current involvement sees her on the sideline of the Senior men’s teams as part of their trainer’s team.

Doing good by doing good…

When the world sorts itself out again Erin would love to return to Thailand where she has been on many adventures with Australian charity Hands Across The Water. She has taken part in an 800 km bike ride from Bangkok to Khao Lak, in 2018 and a 500km Ride through central west NSW in 2021 raising over $15,000 for at risk and orphaned Thai Children. She has also been part of 5 Renovation task Force teams that help renovate the orphanages run by Hands Across The Water in Thailand.

Drysdale Remedial also proudly sponsors one of the Hands Across the Water children, a 13 year old boy named Guitar living in their Home in Khao Lak. This sponsorship provides a home, food and education for Guitar.

“Everything I do, be it massage, volunteering or supporting charity is my way of trying to make the world a slightly better place. My mission in life is to enable the full potential of every individual I can. Nothing makes me happier than to see the change I can have on my clients in helping them to live an invigorated and fulfilled life.”

Genevieve Harman

Diploma Remedial Massage

“There’s no magic in health, I am an honest practitioner and my efforts will require your efforts too. Let’s work together.”

“There is no one cure or no one table that can be taken, a superior effort from the individual and the team involved to establish good health and balance is the key.

“I have come from a place where I can relate to the experience of pain. I’ve traveled the long road and showed myself that I could achieve optimal health with a combination of different modalities of health care in the healing process. I hold myself as a testament to treating the body and the mind in the healing process”

Gen has been a registered nurse for 17 years, 4 as a specialist nurse.
Although her experience is broad her main experience was in acute and chronic pain, injury and chronic disease. Now having completed her Diploma in Remedial Massage Gen looks forward to using her massage skills as part of the healing process.

About Gen

Gen is a busy Mum to a 4-year-old boy. As well as juggling work and being a Mum Gen tries to get to the gym as much as she can.

Gen is lucky enough to live on 5 acres and enjoys the life that it brings and looks forward to obtaining many animals to put on the property. Gen has also recently developed a taste for indoor plants which is slowly taking over the house!

Gen is a lover of all sports, growing up competing in calisthenics and netball. Although she doesn’t compete as much anymore, Gen still enjoys skiing and horse-riding. Always an AFL Hawks fan, Gen now finds herself becoming more of a rugby union and ice hockey fan.

Doing good by doing good…

On a global scale in the healthcare setting, Gen was always a big driver of assisting other less fortunate countries with medical supplies. Locally, as an animal lover Gen will also make donations of towels and other supplies to animal shelters.

“I look forward to meeting with you to discuss your concerns. I will work in collaboration and conjunction with your health care team, if you so wish, in order to receive the outcomes and benefits you desire.”

“Welcome to my world of therapeutic healing and wellbeing, I’m a dedicated practitioner with a passion for helping others live their best, pain-free lives through the power of massage.”

Good treatment is grounded in good observation. I firmly believe in the importance of constantly trying and reassessing treatments and techniques. This dedication drives me to help my clients improve their body’s function and overall well-being continually.

I have a passion for learning. I’m constantly intrigued by the world of remedial massage techniques and their positive effects. The intricacies of the body’s dysfunction and the remarkable links to soft tissue fascinates me. I am committed to discovering how massage can effectively treat these dysfunctions.

While I offer a wide range of massage services, my passion leans towards deep tissue and remedial massage, especially in the context of sports and performance. I take pride in providing direct, hands-on treatments to alleviate discomfort, enhance performance and promote recovery.

About Bowen
